Privacy Notice

Written in plain language, for compliance with the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

Who we are and how to contact us

Perlas Society is operated by Perlas Collective LLC. We are a private, hand-curated network of Filipino virtual assistants. You can reach us about anything in this notice at the contact email listed on this page.

What information we collect

From VAs: your name, contact details, location, photo, professional experience, tools and industries you work with, availability and rate expectations, details of your work setup (internet, power, equipment), resume, portfolio links, work samples, references, and the answers and scores from your assessments and vetting call.

From clients: your name, business details, contact information, time zone, and the role, tasks, tools, hours, and budget you share with us.

Why we collect it

We use this information for one purpose: matching VAs with client roles, and supporting the relationship once a placement is made.

Who we share it with

Prospective clients see a VA profile only after a discovery call and only for a specific role. They see your professional profile, and they never see your email address, phone number, references, or our internal notes until you are hired.

How long we keep it

Active VA profiles are kept while the VA remains in the network. Inactive profiles are deleted after 24 months.

How it is protected

All records are login-protected. Full records, including contact details and internal notes, are visible only to the Perlas Society admin.

Your rights

Under the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you may request access to your information, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. We will act on your request within a reasonable period.
